The newest album by Orthodox singer/songwriter/guitarist Fr. Peter Jon Gillquist is described as "a return to his musical roots," drawing upon the acoustic-folk style of his first two CDs. Guitar, mandolin, cello, and stand-up bass are among the wooden stringed instruments making an appearance, and there are plenty of harmonies between Fr. Peter Jon & brother Greg Gillquist, as well as Ortho-folk-sensation Fr. Justin Mathews.
Lyrically, it is both intensely reflective and full of hope and joy. Topics include love, friendships, thankfulness, faith, death, and a return to innocence (the simpler things in life).
High-quality production and engineering, so you hear every breath and each swipe of the bow.
